Anna's Kitchen, lovingly known as Grandma's Kitchen, is a heartfelt tribute to the incredible woman behind the scenes, Muhammadali's grandmother. The very spot where our dining room now stands was once the location of Grandma's original kitchen, back when this property was her beloved home.
Grandma also nourished workers daily with her mouthwatering Plov, Uzbekistan's cherished rice delicacy.

It's a new hotel that's spotlessly clean, with wonderful staff. It's very much up to Western standards. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owners, who thought carefully about how to create a comfortable environment. From presenting you with a cold welcome drink to proper coffee at breakfast (a rarity in Khiva), to having 'dim' European style lighting in the rooms, softer mattresses, snacks always available in the lobby, and good English spoken.
