Our Story
Hotel Bankir Khiva is co-owned by Singapore media personality Timothy W. Go and Khiva's local resident Muhammadali Erkinov
The hotel holds a profound connection to the past, as it stands on the very land where Muhammadali spent his childhood.
The name "Hotel Bankir Khiva" pays tribute to the legacy of Muhammadali's grandfather, who served as Khiva's main banker when Uzbekistan was part of the USSR.
The word "Bankir," derived from Russian for "banker," resonates with the street where the hotel now stands, fondly recognized by the community as "the street where the banker lives."
Both Timothy's family and Muhammadali himself have had ties to the banking profession at various points in their lives.
